The Katharine Drexel Elementary mural was painted throughout the early childhood hallways of the building to visually activate the area, and reinforce the school’s mascot, culture, and mission, “There’s nothing greater than a Drexel Gator!” The mural encompasses approximately 30% of the 6,000 square foot hallway, creating an immersive experience. It depicts a swamp scene, featuring twenty distinct swamp-dwelling creatures and animals, each placed as a welcoming visual at individual classroom entrances.
